Tim Hager
Flight instructor
My father’s enthusiasm for hang gliding had a strong influence on my childhood. Although I somewhat lost sight of my dream of flying during school, it returned at the start of my studies in Innsbruck.
There I began my training as a paraglider pilot.
Like many in our sport, flying turned my life completely upside down. To my parents’ chagrin, I devoted every free minute to flying instead of studying. The next logical step was to turn my hobby into a career. Starting with safety training on the camera, I expanded my activities to include the takeoff site after my flight instructor training. In the summer months I also work as a tandem pilot. When it comes to flying, I am particularly at home in the acro area. The diverse possibilities for discovering and perfecting different maneuvers fascinated me from the start. My experience with unusual flight conditions is incorporated into the safety training, allowing me to clearly explain and instruct maneuvers. Nevertheless, on good thermal days you can sometimes meet me between the peaks of the Stubai Alps, where I live out my passion for freedom and nature.
